To me the "brattyness" came off more as anger or being feisty, which was super hot. It's not a dynamic we get to see much of from the sub's angle, and this is kind of hard to explain, but it seemed like James and Dani started off the scene as equally personally dominant, and Dani's character had to be forced into a submissive position.
